The Tone Deaf Music guiro is a hand painted, 12" guiro complete with scraper. These instruments are commonly used in Latin American music but are also often heard in other popular music. They are played by making both fast and slow strokes with the scraper over the notched part which makes a rasping sound. Like maracas and tambourines they are an excellent choice for vocalists and dancers to play.
