Daemon Tarot: The Forbidden Wisdom of the Infernal Dictionary

I first came across the strange drawings from The Infernal Dictionary in the art work for John Zorn's book of angels series. They obviously influenced artists such as Alfred Kubin and his fellow Decadents and probably played a part in a lot of the literature of the time, too. Unfortunately, the Infernal Dictionary is very expensive to buy and these cards are the best option for seeing the whole collection.I'm not sure if I'd use them for cartomancy with vulnerable people (and anybody who believes in cartomancy is vulnerable by definition) because they are a little creepy (though also possessed of a cheeky charm) but the insight they give into the darker side of Catholicism is intriguing (there is, apparently, a whole hierarchy of dukes and presidents of Hell). The book that comes with the cards is quite informative about the various creatures and their origins (most are former Gods of subjugated peoples) but it's the pictures themselves, reminiscent of the original illustrations for Alice in Wonderland or old packs of Happy families, which captivate.

This deck is really something special,,, I have only used it a few times, but it is very promising,,, the artwork is amazing, and well worth the money,,, it is probably not for everyone,,,certainly not a beginners deck,,, the deck has no suits and trumps, no Major and Minor Arkana like an ordinary Tarot Deck, but works very well anyway,,, the book is well written, and has a lot of information,,, this deck will be a dark and strange classic deck, and a highly collected thing,,,

I'm in love with these tarot cards, the art work is very nice, the cards themselves are quite easy to read, and so accurate. I felt an instant connection with the deck. I would recommend to try to look past the book sometimes, it gives some good information as a basis for an interpretation though. I like the quirkiness of the deck, it has a lot of character and charm.

Great deck and seems to be on point yes the book lets it down a little as there isn’t much information so you will have to do further research in to the entity that comes through other than that I’d say this is better than the Occult tarot for sure 👍🏼

I haven’t had the time to read the book that comes with the cards but I’m really impressed by how this set is made. It’s a must have for an interest in demons.

This item couldn't be any more perfect. Beautifully illustrated, lovely box. A book and card set thoughtfully put together. Arrived in immaculate condition and very quickly. Love it!

Haven't gone deep yet, but very happy with the amount of quality art and the amount of info offered. I wish there was more divination info, as each card is allocated one terse sentence; there's no variation or combination discussion.
