Cha Dae Woong flees his grandfather and accidently frees a nine-tailed fox who was closed in a painting for 500 years. The Gumiho (nine-tailed fox) appears before him in the form of a beautiful woman. Frightened, he runs from her and severely injures himself. She gives him a precious bead to share with him the mystic fox' strength. She needs his help to become fully human in return enables him to accomplish his dreams. Complicaions ensue as they start to fall for each other.
