Saves My Back!
One of the best investments I ever made & inexpensive too! I have a very bad back and we were using one of those steel things that is like a tire rim to wrap our garden hose around. All that bending over to wrap it around that thing hurt my back so bad that I would have to stop for awhile before completing the task--plus, the darn hose would slip off the rim before I finished wrapping it and then I would have to start over!I ordered this and while waiting for it I went out and bought a 5/8 inch 50 foot garden hose. When it came my husband mounted it on the corner of our house--at my face level. (I am 5'2"). I can't tell you how much I love this Hose Rack--I no longer have to bend over to wrap the hose & it does not come off and fall back to the ground. I just pull it up into my hands and insert a loop into one of the slots, starting at the bottom. I make big loops because the directions say that you can use longer a longer hose if you do it this way. But I really didn't need to do this with this 50 foot hose because my husband tells me (after using it himself) that it would easily hold a 100 ft. hose. I don't have a hard time pulling it off when I get ready to use it--I just pull off how much I think I will need and the walk to my barrel garden & water my vegetable plants.I can't testify how long this hose rack will last as I have only had it for about 2 weeks, but it seems pretty sturdy & if it only last a 2-3 years I would more than have gotten my money's worth!

Extremely happy with it!
Can't recommend this enough! A couple of years ago I bought a circular plastic hose rack for about the same price and it lasted all of a few months before cracking and falling apart. When I saw this it looked perfect for the space I have so, sick of dealing with my hose in a messy pile, bought it. When I first saw it I thought it couldn't be strong enough but when I took it out of the package I was impressed with its sturdiness. It took me just a couple of minutes to install on an upright 4X4 (would easily attach to a 2X4 also) on my deck with two screws (not provided) and a hand screwdriver. The hose easily comes out as I walk with it, easily loops back in, it takes up minimal space and all in all is an excellent product.UPDATE 6/25/17. Just recommended this to a friend who saw it on my deck and thought I'd add an update now 18 months since I installed it. It's as good as the day I bought it! I live in the Caribbean so it gets a LOT of sun and a lot of use. An excellent buy.

Very good value!
I was looking for a reel or some other way to mount my two hoses (backyard and front yard). Having them in a pile on the ground was sloppy and cluttered, and removing them with each use would get tedious. I was looking for a cost effective solution. So many reels and other products out there are way too expensive for the service they provide. This rack is a really good deal. For under $14 (current price) it works as well as any other hose storage system. My 1/2 inch wide 50 foot hose slips right in, and it is as easy as grab and go for me to get it out. Based on other reviews I read, it doesn't work so well for hoses with larger diameters.Mounting was easy enough. 3 screws in the 3 holes provided. I do wish it came with some mounting screws or equipment of any kind. It can be an inconvenience if you don't have appropriately sized screws laying around. It really wouldn't cost the company that much to include a couple screws, and consumers like myself wouldn't mind paying a couple extra cents (the cost of screws when purchased in bulk) for the convenience.

Awesome hose rack
When I first saw this hose rack I had to have it. It's very minimalist but not for that purpose, it's just the greatest designed water hose rack I'd ever seen. I was also attracted by the small space it took up because it was a pretty small space that I'm working with.Anyone who says this won't or might not fit a heavy duty 100 foot hose is mistaken; the ad says it will fit over 100 feet of hose and this is true. I have my water hose rack holding 100 feet of heavy duty hose and it holds this with no problem. I just got a couple relatively short wood screws and attached it to my siding. The hose rack and hose installs easily, made in USA, lifetime warranty; if you're in need of a water hose rack, you'd be crazy not to buy this.

A better product to store your water hose!
I received the Gecko Toes yesterday and hooked it up to my workshop hydrant today. I hooked it up directly to my water hydrant, so I wouldn't have to install yet another post or mounting bracket....and it works wonderfully!!I just wanted to share some photos and feedback for those considering the product. I'm already putting the product to use around my shop and surrounding landscape area.As you'll notice in the photos, I used three regular automotive hose clamps to attach it to the hydrant post and they work great. I installed the hose clamps at the same three areas where the predrilled holes were. I mounted the device at a 90 degree angle to the spout to enable easy fastening of the loops of hose and not interfere with the hookup of the hose to the spout outlet.Just for those folks wondering on the size and length of hose.....the hose I have rolled up is 100 feet of 3/4 inch hose I purchased from the local blue big box hardware store, and as you'll notice in the photos, I still even have an extra loop of storage left at the top of the gecko toes.I don't find many things nowadays that actually are worthy of a review, but I feel I had to take some pictures and let fellow landscape enthusiasts know there's a better mousetrap out there. My best to the manufacturer and Thank You for designing a great product that seems quite durable as well.Regards, Chad ParksPratt & Whitney Aerospace Engineer

No apparent advantage
I bought this based on reviews here. As a first-time hose owner, it seemed like an improvement over the standard wall-mounted hose hanger. It wasn’t. From the start, it was tedious to insert the hose in each slot, and with time the plastic stiffened and it became harder to remove the hose as well. There was no apparent advantage to this design. After a few years, I removed it and replaced with a more traditional hose hanger which is far easier to use and looks nicer, too.
