Boiler and Cooling Water: Proper maintenance and economy of operation of modern boilers and cooling towers require a careful balance between water quality parameters and treatment chemicals. Hatch Boiler/Cooling Water test kits include models for monitoring a single additive and several that offer a wide range of testing capability. Complete Boiler and cooling Water Kit - Model BC-3: All of the tests in the BCS-1 (2350300) and BTC-2 (2350400) boiler test kits are included in this test kit, as well as tests for chlorine, silica, and iron. Chlorine levels are monitored in cooling towers to prevent microbiological fouling. Silica contamination can be a problem in boiler feed water, while iron levels are monitored to provide an indication of corrosion. A wider range of pH testing capability is provided in this kit than the BTC-2 (2350400) Boiler Treatment Control Test Kit.
