Greg is a high school senior with only one thing on his mind, to date the gorgeous Cinny at the prom dance. But his father and tutor want him to concentrate on going to college and to choose a subject to study. Greg decides the only option is to lie to Cinny and tell her he is a rich and very successful poet in order to win a date with her and get her help in his college applications, which he has no clue about. All seems to be going well until Cinny finds out about his lies and Greg must now tell her the truth.

Good Film - Good to watch when nothing on TV

A hilarious and very entertaining hip-hop comedy!
This was a very funny film, one that I really enjoyed watching. It had some very funny moments throughout the film and never died out, with the funniest bits surrounding Greg's daydreams. Overall I wound say this is a film which is a cross between "American Pie" and "Friday" providing as much entertainment as them both. A film not to be missed!

Not the worst but not worth bothering with
This film is ok but not great. I didn't laugh once. Might be good for someone who likes to daydream and might identity with Greg. The characters are likeable enough but there are no interesting characters or situations. If you like teen school films I would recommended any John Hughes films from the 80's like Pretty in Pink or Some Kind of Wonderful. As a black "comedy" this ain't great and CB4 , How High or Don't Be A Menace to South Central...would be a better option.

Poor...why did they even bother?
The first reviewer is right, I feel like I wasted my money on this one. The story was thin. The laughs were very very few and far between and the romance...cheesy to say the least.I don't usually review films but I thought it best to put this warning out to any customers considering buying this film. There are much better black comedy films out there.

Comedy good movie
It was a good movie if you can remember sitting in a class and start to day dream about how you wish your life was going instead of the reality that you were in. I know I did the same kind of dreaming at times. It was not a great movie but had a lot of real good scenes and some good acting in it. Some of it maybe was a little over the top but what could you except. I enjoyed it and felt it was worth my investment in to it. Go ahead a see it if you never seen this movie it is worth a shot.
