Great stuff.
I love this stuff. I came across it from someone who was using it to seal watercolour bookmarks in a journal. This is just what I needed. It’s great stuff. I am making oracle cards and was using Mod Podge but they didn’t come out so good and the cards kept sticking together. So I tried this and it’s perfect for sealing watercolour. So easy to use. I left it overnight to dry to make sure and I’m very happy with the more professional finish than using messy Mod Podge! So glad I bought the big pot, even though a little goes a long way.

Great for finishing and sealing paintings
This is a really easy and convenient solution for sealing your paintings. I have used it to finish and waterproof gouache paintings and it was so easy to use. I simply applied with a clean lint free cloth. I used the type that come with your glasses. I just rubbed it over till it was covered and mounted it after 24 hours. I didn’t buff it up but left it so that the gouache had the same matt look. It didn’t move any of the paint and one large tub will seal a lot of paintings. I am very happy with the results.

Dorlands wax
This wax is fantastic.I rubbed it on my watercoloured painting. I left it for the recommended 48hrs & then 'buffed it with a cloth. Then I tested it by pouring water on my painting. Wow.. it just rolled off. My art is protected now from water damage.

great for cold wax and oil techniques.
I am really enjoying using this product. I use it mixed with oil paint for a thick empasto feel which is great for layering up your colours. It works with both normal oil paints and the water mixable ones. If you use it with water-mixable ones they will not then be water mixable though. You can also use it in conjunction with oilbars/pigment sticks. You can scrape in to it to create textures and It also makes the oil paint dry faster. You can use it as a final coating for your paintings too and then buff it up after for a silky sheen. It does smell a bit as it contains solvents so you might want use it in a ventilated area if you are sensitive to that kind of smell. It's fun to experiment with and there are several videos and articles on the net showing techniques if you search for 'cold wax painting' or 'cold wax and oil'. Really worth a try. This is the only brand I have tried but it has done everything I wanted it to and no complaints.

Great stuff
Took weeks to arrive, but the product is legit. I use it to seal gouache -it’s fab. Make sure you let it dry for a few hours after application before touching it again.

I'm pleased with the result once it dried and re-buffed it
I bought this initially to coat and help preserve watercolour paintings. But for that purpose, haven't used it yet. Then I learned that it's suitable for waxing wood and developing a sheen on turned objects and other projects. So used it on a bandsaw jewellery box straight from the jar. Buffed well, but remained tacky for a day. I should have thinned it a fraction.Second coat the same (should have thinned it - my fault), but regardless, I'm pleased with the result once it dried and re-buffed it.Dual purpose wax and well recommended.
