Mood rings were invented in 1967 by a man named Marvin Wernick, who saw a great idea for a toy when he saw one of his friends take a child's temperature by using a strip of thermotropic material. A mood ring is essentially a liquid thermometer that changes color according to the temperature on the wearer's skin. It is thought that this may indicate the mood of the wearer, as some claim that body heat fluctuates with the emotional state of the wearer. Highly recommended when trying to find out what your loved one is really feeling--or if you need a small but neat stocking stuffer, gag gift or novelty toy! Note: Ring comes in a variety of sizes. Although we do try to accommodate requests for specific sizes, we cannot guarantee which size will be sent to customer. Warning: Choking hazard due to small parts. Not for children under 3 years old.
