In terms of build quality, this placemat just isn't made anything like the poorly constructed, cheap store brands. It's 100% handmade in the USA. And we make it especially for you upon order. The heavyweight cotton twill is treated for maximum spill and stain protection. Plus, the color won't fade even after 1000+ loads. Diagonal ribs in the twill also make it next to impossible to rip or tear - even in the rare chance a dinner guest gets overzealous with a steak knife.
