This specialized BNC cable meets the 12G-SDI (Serial Digital Interface) standards to support 12 Gbps and maximum resolutions to 4Kx2K (2160P30 YUV 4:4:4) at 60Hz. Higher resolutions MAY be possible with suitable hardware compression using your equipment. The 12G-SDI standard is 100% backward compatible with the SD-SDI ED-SDI HD-SDI 3G-SDI and 6G-SDI specifications (SMPTE ST-2082 259M 344M 292M 373M 424M and the 6G-SDI standard of SMPTE ST-2081) but supports the faster 12Gbps speed needed for tomorrows 4Kx2K video/audio applications.
