Togarashi is a blend of chilli, black and white sesame seeds orange zest, ginger, Sichuan pepper and seaweed. Adds a kick to ribs, wings, prawn toast, seaweed, tofu, chilliest, stews, any meats, prawns, noodles, soups - in fact anything where you feel like a boost. Make a glaze of honey, ginger, garlic, sake and soy sauce with a pinch of togarashi for a terrific glaze for salmon fillets or use to season flour before coating squid or chicken strips and frying.
