Product Description Back in 2007, Ministry of Sound released a groundbreaking and now legendary compilation series entitled 'Anthems'. 8 years later, no one could have predicted that the series would go on to sell over 4.2 million copies in the UK alone. However, since the series inception there has always been one glaring omission to the collection - So we thought it was time we took inspiration from our most famous, enigmatic and influential super club and pieced together an incredible journey depicting the biggest dance music genre that's ever lived. LET THERE BE HOUSE! This is Anthems House. Ministry of Sound have been at the forefront of dance music culture for well over 20 years, so who better to bring you this incredible 3CD collection detailing the history of house from its beginnings in Chicago in the mid 1980s right up to the present day. We begin this incredible journey with the godfather of house music himself - the one and only Frankie Knuckles with his anthemic work 'Your Love', before we move into timeless classics from Marshall Jefferson, Inner City, Gat Decor and Crystal Waters and a wave of underground tracks which smashed their way into the charts in the mid 1990s: Bucketheads, Robin S, De'Lacy, Nightcrawlers and Todd Terry all feature. As we move into the new century on disc 2 we come across the original master of the remix in Armand Van Helden including 'You Don't Know Me' and his classic re-work of Tori Amos, next up are seminal tracks from Pete Heller, Basement Jaxx, Sandy B, Modjo and Danny Tenaglia. Finally we end this ultimate anthology with the genres latest chart topping raw recruits with the likes of Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Breach, Storm Queen and Secondcity delivering a sound inspired by past masters but bringing this incredible genre and album up-to-date. So what are you waiting for? After all the music really does sounds better with you. Ministry of Sound presents - Anthems House.
