Quickly and easily create professional quality bowtie and butterfly style inlays using the Crafted Elements line of acrylic router templates. Our ¼” laser cut cast acrylic router templates are designed and manufactured in Canada and are perfect for hobbyists as well as commercial wood fabrication shops. We have a range of creative inlay shapes and styles so you aren’t limited to simply a classic bowtie or butterfly design. This 7.75x7.75x0.25” inlay template features five different sizes of the same shape, so you can pick the size that best fits your piece. Sizes include 4.5x2.25", 3.5x1.75", 3x1.5", 2.5x1.25" and 2x1". The interior corner radii of the template inlays are 1/16" and therefore will work best with a 1/8" end router bit. Use our inlay templates to create female pockets and matching male wood inlays with the help of any standard inlay template bit such as the Whiteside or PowerTec inlay bit kits. Wood inlays are ideal for structurally reinforcing weak parts of wood such as knots or cracks. You can also use our acrylic router jigs / inlay templates with a short flush trim router bit to simply carve out a matching pocket in your wood which can then be filled with epoxy resin to create a decorative element in your piece.
