The only Boatswain to be used by the MOD and NATO. Supplied with full instructions and charts for producing the many official calls. Sterling silver, silver-plated, gold-plated, and rose gold finishes come packed in a presentation box. British Admiralty pattern Boatswain's (Bosun's) pipe, original Acme design from 1870. Originally used for giving commands to the crew, its high-pitched notes could be heard in the worst gales. Now largely ceremonial, it is supplied with a leaflet of instructions and historical details.
