Awesome replacement
Open box item that was brand new. Seller got this to me in two days too. Started getting a squealing in an old Ruud furnace and then suddenly it got much louder. The upper fan bearing froze up. Four screws and a few terminals later and I had the furnace back up and running.

Perfect!
I was get the fall inspection done on the furnace, and they pointed out a crack in the draft inducer housing which risked CO leakage. They offered to replace it for $600. This was a perfect match for mine, but was better because of the metal housing, compared to the original plastic housing. Took all of 5 minutes to replace. Saved me a BUNDLE.

Good price and easy to self-install rather than pay an HVAC person.Hole pattern for mounting screws is not identical to original item - so, be ready to drill a few pilot holes

Still running great after first winter
My furnace is about 20 years old. The existing draft inducer was still functional, but didn't sound great and appeared to have some kind of interference in where the fan motor is. I could have waited for it to die entirely, but that would most likely have occurred around 4 am on the coldest night of the year, so I decided to proactively replace it.Firstly, the cost of this unit is good - it's about the same cost as you would pay to have a furnace tech. show up at your door (before s/he did any actual work, which costs more). Secondly, I like that it's an all-metal housing, versus the original, which was plastic. Finally, installation was very easy and straightforward (just make sure you get all of the old gasket material off the furnace before putting this one on).I decided to wait until I had used this thing for an entire winter to review, because I wanted to make sure it performed consistently. It gets pretty cold here in Massachusetts, and this thing did well. Bear in mind that I also use a wood stove for heat, so this inducer didn't have to work as hard as it would on a house with only 1 heat source, but I think it still would have done well. At the end of the winter, it still sounds great and appears to be running well. I expect it to last for quite a while longer and would recommend it to anyone who either needs a new inducer or is questioning the life-span of their existing one.

Great option for the price
The unit was an almost an exact replacement. I was able to install it in about 10 minutes. It came with the felt gasket attached. The only short fall of this unit was the 3000 RPM motor, the original was 3400 RPM. (Same part number)I was advised by a HVAC friend to be careful as the fan needs to be strong enough to activate the pressure switch. Well 3000 RPM was enough for my Rheem Criterion II furnace. The fan is definitely quieter than the original but that is probably because the original has been starting to fail over the past 2 winters. It no longer sounds like a plane taking off, so nice! :-)

Direct replacement, works good.
This unit replaced the well-worn Rheem 70-24175-01 that originally came with my furnace almost 20 years ago. It's made very slightly different, but it's similar enough that it fits and functions just like the original. Very easy to install. It's much quieter than the original ever was, but seems to move the same amount of air/exhaust.
