From the Manufacturer The Crouse-Hinds EYSX1 SA Copper-Free Expanded Fill Sealing Female Fitting, 1/2-Inch estricts the passage of gases, vapors, or flames from one portion of the electrical installation to another at atmospheric pressure and normal ambient temperatures. It limits the explosions to the sealed off enclosure and limits precompression or "pressure piling" in the conduit systems. This fitting provides 40% wire fill capacity to allow uninterrupted runs in a conduit system.
