The word chakra means wheel or circle (originally the tantric name for a magic prayer circle), but is also translated as lotus flower. The Indian chakra teaching includes 7 chakras. The chakras are life energy centres or vibrating bodies in the energy body of the human being, which are connected with each other and with all organs, cells and glands by invisible energy channels (Nadis). They are always in the immediate vicinity of a gland and important organs. Their main task is to exhale fresh life energy (prana) and used up life energy. They are nodal points for the soul and the body. This is also the origin for the realization that the soul, if it suffers, can make the body ill. If only one of these chakras is blocked, this can lead to an obstruction of the entire energy flow. When the chakras are strongly developed and as free as possible from such blockages, they appear open and radiate their energy intensively. People with well-developed chakras have a distinct presence and a powerful charisma. Each chakra has a certain quality e.g. mental clarity, creativity, love, vitality, or sexual power. For example, if you have developed a strong heart chakra, your consciousness is filled with compassion, kindness, love and harmony. Such people are "warm-hearted", permeated by love and popular. When chakras are blocked, diseases or dysfunctions of the internal organs also occur. Modern lifestyles, environmental toxins, constant stress, existential anxiety, excessive stimulation and emotional pressure lead to the formation of congestions and blockages in the chakras, which can be the strongest causes of incurable physical, mental and spiritual suffering from the point of view of natural medicine.
