To tarnish brass: 1.You need a large glass or plastic container with a tight sealing lid, a smaller microwave safe container, paper towels or napkins, your brass items (cleaned and degreased), and apple-cider vinegar. Line the large container with paper napkins, fill the small container with vinegar and heat it to boiling in microwave. move the small container to the big container and quickly place your brass items around (not in) the small container. Seal the lid on the large container.
