Q: Will this work with an HP Notebook?

Which HP Notebook? Check the HP web site to see if they describe the feature as a "Kensington lock" or a "Noble lock".In my case, the Dell product page for my notebook (Dell XPS 15) describes it has having a "Noble lock port" and the Ruban lock won't fit. I would guess that slim notebooks require something smaller than this Ruban lock.

Q: Will this work with a Lenovo T450S?

I have 2 one on an HP laptop and one on the docking station. I believe all computers are designedd for the same security cables and these work better than any others I have used.The combo is settable and the mechanism is very smooth.

Q: Does this product work for macbooks? i have a 2010 macbook pro...

It should. I have a 2011 MBP and it works well. I don't imagine the 2010 model differs too much (connects on the right next to the dvd drive). Just use the spacer (which it comes with) that provides the best fit.
