If your fireplace screen is rusty, unsightly, or hard to move, replacing it is easy and economical, with a Condar Mesh Screen. Condar screens hang softly and are made to last, painted with rust-inhibiting black enamel, and properly cured to withstand high temperatures and humidity. Mesh screens come with detailed instructions for easy installation. All replacement screen packages include 2 panels, each 24-inches wide. This is sufficient for an attractive natural drape effect on most fireplaces, glass doors, and inserts. Standard screen sizes range from 16-inches through 36-inches tall. All Condar screens include 19 gauge steel mesh, 2, 24-inch wide panels, 1/4 inch openings in the mesh, a series of 1/2 inch rings, black matte finish, and a pair of Cool Grip matte black screen pulls. Condar fireplace screens Do not include a rod. Sold separately on Amazon is our Rod and Valance Kit. READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ORDERING A. If you are replacing an existing mesh screen, measure the height and width of the existing screen itself (not including the hanger rings). Order the same height screen. Condar's hanger rings add 1/2 inch (1 centimeter) to the total height to account for the hanger rings below the rod. If your rings add greater or lesser height, adjust your screen order. B. If you want a mesh screen for your fireplace and you already have a rod installed, measure the width of your fireplace opening in inches. Measure the height of your fireplace opening and subtract 1/2 inch (1 centimeter) for the hanger rings below the rod, and approximately 1/2 inch (1 centimeter) for clearance at the bottom (1 inch: 3 centimeters total). C. If you do not have a screen rod installed, it is recommended that you order a Rod and Valance Kit (Amazon ASIN: B0039ZD9O2). Important: The screen size you want to order with the Rod and Valance Kit must be 2 inches (5 centimeters) shorter than your fireplace's vertical opening, this allows for the bottom clearance and the rings.
