Holmes HQH341-NUM Quartz Tower Heater, Black

Love this heater...I have used space heaters for years. This one is the best I've had. Some of my previous heaters were great for immediate space heating, but did not have a fan, and that makes all the difference. It is larger than some heaters I've had, but it is more of a workhorse than the small heaters are. Those are good if you have them directed right at you while seated at a desk or small space. I wanted something that would do a whole medium-sized room.I live in an old, largely non-insulated house in the northeast with no central heating, so I need something to fill the gap between heated rooms. This heater seems to be doing the job very well. It does make some noise, because it does have a fan, but it is not at all what I would consider noisy. I have not had any of the rattling that others seem to have encountered. I would give it five stars, but it is only Autumn and I want to see how it performs in a cold New England winter.Note to cat lovers: all 3 of the cats I have had LOVED the radiant heaters with no fan, but it didn't take long for my current guy to get used to the fan. He now lays in front of it, legs akimbo and basks in it's warmth just like he did the silent one...though a few more inches way from it. He's happy and I'm happy. Hope you all keep warm this winter!

I've had an older Quartz Tower model by Holmes purchased back in 1997 and only just broke (potentially dangerous static) January of this year. It finally felt like winter then and I was desperate to get a new space heater. I tried out a Lasko 6221 Flat Panel Ceramic Heater and it just made the winter air even more dry, the heat doesn't reach my cold feet when I stand in front of it when left on the floor, and the room got too warm for my comfort. So I decided to get the same type of heater and brand. I prefer chillin' and just sitting by this heater in my room especially after a shower or a day out in the cold, and unlike others I enjoy the white noise and it just calms me more with the sun-like warmth. I've had this for 6 months now and it's just what I expected, it's an awesome heater!

it does what it is suppose to. I use it on my patio and living room. After 20 minutes or so I will turn it to a lower setting cause it does heat the area up. The bottom and sides are made of plastic so if u want it to be on carpet that's fine. Probably a 4 foot cord that comes with it. Only a 2 prong. Even after hours of continuous use it works fine. The front metal part gets warm but will not start a fire. Safe for pets and small children. Overall it is a great product. For the price I don't think there is something better. 2 fan settings low and high. The heat setting is a nob you can adjust it so. In doors it works for a large room. Perfect for a bedroom. On my patio at night it does just fine.

The Holmes HQH341-HUM does a good job of heating, but there are two negative issues that cost 2-3 stars: 1) The fan is somewhat more noisy than on any other fan-forced heater I've had, and 2) the thermostat is pathetic - it often will not shut off anywhere near the set temperature (it will run and run and run) and the on off differential varies and is very broad. The thermostat shut-off can be set when the temp reaches 73 deg. and it may shut off "close" to that once or twice, and then it may run until 79-80 and I just have to turn it off. If it were not for the good heat output, this one have been only 1-2 stars.

I have been looking to buy a reliable and durable heater for a while now. I went through many heaters on Amazon but whenI went through the reviews some had either heating or electrical problems. I live in an apartment which has hydraulic heating system that is pretty old and needs repairs from time to time. So I needed something which keeps a 15 × 21 warm enough. I went for holmes as I was familiar with the similar holmes model I had used earlier while working at a super market's office. Its my second day of using it and I am not disappointed at all.

High Quality. I had one for 5 years before I decided it was time to replace. It still put out a TON of heat, But the cord became slightly burnt from over use and I figured it was safest to get a new one. This product is amazing. Highly recommended

I LOVE this heater. It works quickly, is portable and heats a small space. My mother came to visit and is always cold. I bought one for her bedroom and one for the living room so we don't have to turn the heat up in the entire house for her to be comfortable. It does a great job of warming if you are close or if you have a small room.
