I have some hens that are heading into winter missing back feathers from an over zealous rooster (now living in solitary confinement). I wanted something that would help them keep warm while waiting for regrowth. These appeared thicker. I have only had 1 hen get it off. The snaps worked well. Hens arent overly friendly, but I was able to put it on her myself while she struggled a bit.

I like these and most have been durable. One or Two have tears that I assume are from the roosters toenails.The hens have gotten them off somehow once or twice by slipping the elastic I assume. but no damage and just put them back on. Overall they do the job and protect the hens back and wings.

Quality thick padded, product adjustable you can put it under or over the wings. Very impressed. Easy to put on.

They are pretty thick so makes them a little heavy but my hens don’t seem to mind. They keep their wings covered very well and stay on pretty good. I had one that kept coming off but could have been something the hen was doing to get it off. The are good Quality.

These are very effective in protecting the chickens' back, but the securing straps are not as sturdy as expected. I had two break of the four that I purchased.

The snaps won't stay closed on 2 saddles. I like the style, but of the 4 saddles, 2 of them the snaps no longer stay closed. Update, I've had to sew the snaps down on all 4 saddles I received ,just to keep them on the chickens.

These are a really good deal & good quality. I'll have to see if the roosters can still get the job done though as the material is quite slick. Already bought another set.

Despite the fact that 2 out of the 5 had one snap on each come out. It appears to be from the sewing of the snaps too close to the end of material.So I purchased these about a month ago and only needed to use them for about 2 weeks. I love how they look on my hens and they are soft, plus waterproof. I have about 18 hens but my rooster has 5 favorites, he is so active with the 5 that they all lost their feathers on their back and they lost the feathers on the back of their head from him biting them while fornicating. I tried another product that was some type of purple thick liquid to keep the rooster off them but that product did not work so I decided to go ahead and try these. Well, my rooster did NOT like these saddles, so much that he actually stayed away from all 5 hens that had them on, lol. I saw him only get on 1 hen 1 time and the saddle held up great, but I guess my rooster decided the ride was not worth it lmao.Anyhow, despite the fact that 2 had snaps fall off, this product worked better than expected, my hens seemed to like them after a day or so and they looked so cute. All of their feathers grew back nicely, the small new feathers that is. I took them off after about 2 weeks. My rooster picked up a few new favorites during that time so now I don't have any hens with feather loss.I would certainly purchase these again, since I have a sewing machine, the snaps falling out was not that big of an issue, I was able to re sew them back on.
