This pack of three Napoleonic moulds of British 10th Hussars, is made from vulcanised black rubber. They can be used many times and cast hundreds of figures. You do require a casting kit and metal to accompany this mould to be able to utilise it. These are not included in this listing but are available on .The Napoleonic Wars were between 1803 and 1815 and were a series of wars declared against Napoleon's French Empire by opposing coalitions. This casts a 25mm scale horses and riders. Scale refers to an average sized human standing up straight measures from top of head to toe as a baseline. Actual height of castings will vary depending on pose, armour and accessories.Hobby Casting is easy to learn and requires only a small amount of equipment, to melt suitable metal, usually an alloy with large quantities of TIN in it. We recommend our Model Metal PA2048 or 5 Star pewter PA2059.The process for casting is simple: Melt metal into a ladle, Assemble this mould as instructed. Pour the liquid metal into this assembled mould via the assigned holes in the side. Wait for about 5 minutes for the metal to cool. Unassemble the mould and carefully remove the figures. Trim off the excess ingates (metal plug that let the metal enter the mould) and these can be remelted for the next casting. Polish, prime and paint the figure as you would any metal figure. Never cool metal with water. Always warm the mould gently to make sure its dry by placing it near a heat source for a short time. Store moulds in a dry dark place.
