Description

KBRS GoBoard shower backer board is up to 80% lighter than cement backer boards yet it is engineered and rigorously tested for strength and durability. The ultra-lightweight material helps you to complete the job faster and more cost-effectively, with no strain on your back. Using GoBoard to build walls over stud framing in wet areas is an efficient alternative to using gypsum board. This tile backer board has waterproofing built-in, so you only need to seal the board joints and fastener locations for a waterproof tile assembly. Note that this kit provides enough backer board to cover 90 square feet. Additional materials may be necessary for larger shower installations. Board joints and fastener locations require a waterproof sealant per GoBoard installation instructions.
