Lasts a lifetime
The steels on this tool are superber. They will last a long time. They work best if you tune the bolt on the twin blade side. The point can be used like an awl. You press the point in the material and twist the point as far in as possible. This will allow the 3 blades to begin cutting. As you cut rock your rist up and down to attain better cut thru use of physical leverage. Will buy many more for my workers.

This product has saved me time and money. So far it cuts clean and fast. No binding up either.

Klenk snips
Great double cut snips at a good price

Solid material, smooth action, but strange "tip"
This snip is designed for cutting sheet metals when you don't want either side of the material to bent. To do this, the snip removes a sacrificial strip (approx. 1/8 inch wide) of material while it cuts. This strip comes off the middle blade, it normally coils up on its own so it doesn't get in your way. To this end, the snip performs very well. So the pos are:1) Made in the USA.2) Smooth action (after adjustment, see the cons).3) Sharp (but I have only used it on a few feet of 26g sheet). The cons have to do with the tip of the snip:1) There is a screw at the very tip that should be adjust before use. Too loose (the way it came) and it won't cut anything. Too tight and the blades will not last long.2) The other end of the screw is a very functional "locknut", but it is large. So this tip will not get into tight places.3) While cutting, you cannot easily remove the snip from the cut because the sacrificial strip comes out behind this screw. You must cut all the way until the strip comes off. Use another snip to cut the strip off if you want to stop in the middle.4) The center blade has a very sharply pointed tip for "plunge" starting a cut. Probably for very thin material (or one's foot) as it did not work on my 26g.

Just as described
Works really good

Leaves clean edge on both left and right side of cut.
I use these for lighter gauge metals and they are terrific. Minimizes the curl you get on the salvage side so that you can use both the 'good' piece and the 'leftover piece with little or no edge cleanup. I have have had good results drilling a 5/32" inch starting hole on thin aluminum - gutters for instance.
