Prior to Headmaster Matsuno's passing, he appointed Headmaster Crandall as his successor, and this workbook text also includes growth of the style under Headmaster Crandall's direction. The intent of creating this textbook by Headmaster Crandall's student, Renshi Nathan Morris, is to maintain the accurate history and traditions of this 300 year-old iaido style. This is a textbook and is not meant to answer all questions but rather to make more visible the path you as a student of Takenouchi-Hangan-Ryu-Matsuno-Crandall will travel during your training in classes and as you practice.
