The clay-like material in this 16.7g pack of PMC3 contains fine silver particles, along with a water-based binding agent which allows it to be moulded, sculpted or carved to create versatile jewellery designs. PMC3 is ideal for use with mixed media such as glass, ceramics or fireable gemstones. Once fired, PMC3 can be hallmarked as fine silver (.999). It is very strong once fired, making it ideal for high wear and tear jewellery items such as rings. PMC3 has a shrinkage rate of 10-15%. This 16.7g pack of PMC3 gives a net silver weight of 15g once fired. When torch firing, a soft flame will appear around the piece until the binder has burnt away. When this flame has disappeared, heat the piece to the point where a pale orange glow is visible and keep the piece heated at this colour for 3 minutes. When kiln firing, PMC3 should be fired in a kiln at 600°C for 30 minutes when the design is made of PMC3 only. This is an eco-friendly product, containing recycled silver.
