This Natural Right Hand Abhishek Shankh (Conch) used for bathing of Deity idols, Shaligram, and used other Abhishekam ritual. Dakshinavarti Shankh (Valampuri) is the symbol of Maa Lakshmi. Goddess Lakshmi is always depicted with Shank in her hands. It is widely used in ISKCON temples. This is the shell of a large sea snail from the Indian Ocean (a shell of the species Turbinella pyrum), but one that has the very rare reverse-turning spiral.
