A highly versatile musician, bassoonist Matthew Morris has performed in numerous festivals, recital and chamber music series, and orchestral performances, as well as on radio and television broadcasts and in studio and commercial recordings. Dr. Morris has appeared throughout the United States and abroad, including events at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. and in Russia at the Bolshoi Theater. He has given seven premiere performances at International Double Reed Society conferences, and has presented master classes, conducted workshops and served as an adjudicator. In addition to his activities as a teacher and performer, Morris has created a number of arrangements for double reeds and saxophones, and has served as an audio producer and engineer. Morris holds advanced degrees from Florida State University, Baylor University and East Carolina University, and has held teaching positions at the University of Virginia, Valdosta State University and Baylor University. His Principal teachers were Jon Pederson, Principal Bassoon of the North Carolina Symphony, Brian Kershner at Baylor University and William Winstead at Florida State University. Morris is currently instructor of Bassoon and Music Theory at Ohio University. Pianist Christopher Fisher frequently performs in solo and collaborative recitals, and often with Katherine Fisher as the Fisher Piano Duo. Also an accomplished writer, Dr. Fisher authored Teaching Piano in Groups (Oxford University Press, 2010), the only comprehensive group piano pedagogy textbook of its kind. With co-author Katherine Fisher, he also created a revised expanded edition of Piano Duet Repertoire (Indiana University Press). His articles and reviews have appeared in leading keyboard journals, including Keyboard Companion, American Music Teacher, Clavier and Clavier Companion. He has composed several beginner level piano works, including Midnight Express and Fireside Reflections (Alfred Publishing). In demand as a workshop clinician, Fisher has presented lectures nationally and internationally, including Music Teachers National Association conferences, National Group Piano and Piano Pedagogy Forum, American Music Therapy Association and Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference. A noted educator, he received the Ohio University School of Music Distinguished Teaching Award and the Ohio Music Teachers Association Collegiate Teacher of the Year. Fisher is currently Associate Professor of Piano at Ohio University, where he serves as Chair of the Keyboard Division and Coordinator of Group Piano Studies. Korean pianist Youmee Kim has appeared in performance on concert series and at festivals, national and international conferences, and most recently to high acclaim at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York. Also a talented writer, she has authored An Analysis and Performance Guide to Benjamin Lees' Odyssey I and II. The recipient of numerous awards, including the Women in Music Competition and the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs Scholarship, she is currently Vice-Chair of Ohio s Music Teachers National Association and a judge for the World Piano Teachers Association s International Competition. As a recording artist, she can be heard on Ars Nostra along with Professor Sang Hie Lee and the University of South Florida Percussion Ensemble and Clarinet Fantasies with Dr. Rebbeca Rischin (Centaur). Dr. Kim, received degrees from Ewha Womans University in Korea, Indiana University and Ohio State University in piano performance. She is currently Assistant Professor of Piano at Ohio University.
