Trolamine emulsion is used for soothing and cooling the skin after burns and stings, as well as creating a protective layer over the injured skin. The emulsion contains Trolamine 0.67% providing rapid relief to burnt skin and has the ability to cover a relatively large area. Trolamine's formulation is based on an advanced preservation system of silver ions as an effective and specifically targeted antimicrobial preservative agent. The soothing emulsion contains high water concentration (>75%) to cool the skin and provide immediate and efficient rehydration to the wounded area. Trolamine functions as a physical and mechanical barrier over injured skin. This barrier assists in protecting the wounds from environmental contaminants such as dirt, dust, bacteria and other microorganisms, thus creating optimal conditions for rapid healing. Trolamine can also function for many other uses: relieving the skin after various dermatology irritating procedures such as laser hair removal and is suitable as first aid and relief in events of stings and secondary skin reactions such as erythema caused by radiation therapy.
