Product description TWO (2) SIRIUSHAIR LTD manufactured compatible replacement thermal fuse to fit the GHD brand of hair straighteners.This is a 229˚C United Kingdom CE certified direct replacement component in a ceramic casing with USA designed heat resistant composite. This is not to be confused with other aftermarket fuses for the GHD which are rated at 240˚C. Original GHD were fitted with a 216˚C fuse. This fuse is rated at 229˚C so will activate if the hair straightener overheats past this temperature preventing damage to the GHD and also your hair if in use. If a 240 degree fuse is used and the hair straightener overheats, the damage to the GHD and your hair will be dramatic and irreparable. On early versions of the 3.1B and 4.0B the plastic backing plate fuse aperture may need to be widened by using a craft knife. This does not affect the operation of the GHD but allows the new fuse to be accommodated correctly within the GHD. Siriushair the brand name for GHD spares and repairs. This does NOT fit the MS4 slim hair straightener.
